Happy Jew Year!

Running

I’m a runner.  I ran 5 marathons before I turned 30 and I am currently training for my 6th.  But lately, I haven’t loved running.  This summer was a rough one.  Not only did I end a serious relationship, but the heat and humidity made getting in the runs a struggle, more so than in previous years.  So I’ve been half-assing it this summer.  This is the least I’ve ever trained for a marathon, and I’m not proud of it.  This marathon, on October 2nd (the Wineglass Marathon) looks to be one of the slower ones I will do, simply because I haven’t put in the time or effort.  Last year I was hoping to break 4 hours in the NYC marathon.  This year, I’ll be happy to be under 5.

I used to blog

Once upon a time I had a blog.  It was nothing major, and something I kept up with mostly for me, but I loved that blog.  I loved that I had a following, I loved the feedback I received, and most of all, I loved having a safe place to vent.  Long story, but that space disappeared for some time.  But I miss it, and so I’m back to blog.
